At school we need to keep information about your child for registration purposes etc and also so we can provide them with suitable help and support.
Under the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998 we at school need to inform you about what information is held by us about your child.
To do this we need to send out a "Fair Processing Notice" a copy of which will follow this information. It explains why we need the information and also lists the other educational bodies to whom we pass this on, for example the LEA needs to know about your child if an assessment of special needs is necessary or if an employment licence needs to be issued.
The wording of this notice has been supplied by the DfES ans has been approved by the County Council's Data Protection Office. if you wish to find out more details about the Data Protection Act, information is available from school on request.
