The Leadership Team
The Head Teacher is Mr Mander and he has been at Edge Hill for eight years. He teaches some of our lessons, takes assemblies, manages the school and spends a lot of the time trying to sort out the budget!
Mr Newton is the Deputy Head. He teaches in all the year groups, is in charge of ICT and sorts out training for the other teachers.
Mrs Foster is the Assistant Head Teacher. She teaches in Year 5 and is also responsible for our children with special needs.
Teaching Staff
Year Three
There are three teachers in Year 3. Mrs Yates is the Year Group Coordinator. Mrs Diffey is PE Coordinator and Miss Watson (who joined the staff in 2006).They all try to make the transformation from Year 2 as easy as possible.
Year Four
In Year 4 there are 4 teachers. Miss Cavill is the Year Group Coordinator (also Science Co-ordinator). Miss Barnard works four days a week & is the Library Coordinator, Ms Moran and Mrs Sprenglewski jobshare a class. Mrs Sprenglewski is Art Coordinator and Ms Moran is PSHE Coordinator.
Year Five
Mrs Gibson is the Year Group Coordinator (also RE Coordinator). Mrs Collyer and Mrs Foster jobshare a class (Mrs Collyer is Geography Co-ordinator). Mr Fell is Numeracy Coordinator.
Year Six
In Year 6 there are four teachers. Mrs Rothwell is Music Coordinator and Mrs Fisher is History and School Link Coordinator, She is also Year 6 Coordinator. Mr Clowes is Design and Technology Coordinator and Business Studies coordinator. Miss Gould is Literacy Coordinator.
Teaching Assistants
Mrs Ellington is our Senior TA and leads the Teaching Assistant team.
