Welcome to Edge Hill Junior School
Welcome to the community of Edge Hill Junior School. Edge Hill Junior School was opened in 1959 and after various extensions has 16 classrooms. It also has a dining room, hall, ICT Suite, library, resources rooms and offices. It is fortunate in having its own sports facilities in terms of a large playing field and hard play area.
Our school motto is "Believe and Achieve, Shine Every Day" This motto will soon appear on all of the school's headed paper and in our school prospectus too.
The surroundings of the school are pleasantly gardened and tree lined which helps create a helpful working environment.
At Edge Hill we aim to provide a caring, safe and stimulating environment for your child. We strive to develop a positive and happy atmosphere from which all children will, not only gain satisfaction from their achievements, but also have the opportunity to achieve their full potential. We provide a broad and balanced curriculum for all the children to help them grow into independent and responsible people.
We also believe that we can only achieve the best for your child by close cooperation between home and school. Throughout their time at Edge Hill there will be many opportunities for you to share in your child's education and celebrate their successes. There may also be times when parents have concerns or worries and we hope you will always feel welcome to contact us at school to discuss them.
